Previously, OnePlus Company initially sold its smartphones through an invite system. In this system, a customer will only send an invite to purchase the smartphones, and they have to buy within a fixed time limit. But with a releasing OnePlus 3, Chinese has nearly developed it to perfect model. But this year there is no OnePlus 4 instead they have designed OnePlus 5 which takes things to the next level. It comes with great and exciting features. OnePlus 5 launches in June 2017. The price is high, but to get a more critical look, you shouldn’t miss to have it. Still thinking about its features, let’s discuss how powerful this OnePlus 5 when compared to other versions.

1) Design

OnePlus 5 comes with an attractive design, and it back reminds us of slightly curvier matte-black similar to iPhone 7 Plus. The front designed pretty well and look same as OnePlus 3 and 3T. Do you think it is an old fashion? Don’t worry, and this smartphone has managed to make it very comfortable to hold and use. The device builds on same solidly metal body with a fantastic design. The curved back fits your palm perfectly and makes it look super slimmer.

2) Display

OnePlus 5 screen is 5.5-inch AMOLED Panel and has 1080p as opposed to the more standard quad-HD resolution. It has sorted the issue of poor calibration laggy scrolling.    The aspect ratio is 16:9 and comes with more standard displays. OnePlus 5 has notification slider, where a user can set the phone to silent, DND or in ringer profile by using this slider. It does not have MicroSD slot but is a dual-SIM smartphone.  The display screen protected with latest Gorilla Glass 5 from Corning.

3) Processor And Performance

OnePlus 5 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with an octa-core one of 10nm FinFET designers. The clock speed is 2.45GHZ  and has Adreno 540 GPUas well. It comes with 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB of storage. This smartphone uses LPDDR4X RAM. It uses UFS 2.1technology and comes with powerful hardware. The unlocking of a OnePlus device can do with using the front mounted fingerprint scanner.

4) Software

OnePlus 5 runs on Oxygen OS, which based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. This new oxygen OS comes with great features such as reading mode, translucent drawer, secure mode and more. This method works as it can adjust the blue light on the display to provide a reading experience. Whereas the expanded screenshots will ensure the screen automatically with taking the screenshot of everything that shows on your screen.

5) Camera

You will see a significant change in the camera as the Company has introduced dual-rear camera in it. OnePlus 5 comes with 16 MP + 20 MP dual rear camera combination. The primary camera has 16MP with featuring f/1.7 aperture. It can capture 34% lighter than the previous model and seems better for low-light images. The rear camera has a Pro mode where users can tinker with white balance, shutter speed, ISO which supports RAW images.

A report in  Digitimes  today  says that  Facebook’s Building 8 research group  is developing a smart speaker with a 15-inch touch panel.
